American Psychiatric Nurses Association Conference
Dr. Peggy Halter, Associate Dean, recently presented at the American Psychiatric Nurses Association's (APNA) 25th annual conference. The conference was held October 21, 2011 at the Disneyland Hotel in Anaheim, California. As co-chairs of the Institute for Mental Health Advocacy (IMHA), she and Christine Tebaldi summarized the work of the institute for the year. The IMHA is APNA's conduit for monitoring legislative, regulatory, and policy matters affecting psychiatric nursing and mental health. This summary was followed by an expert panel with audience participation exploring prioritized activities for 2012.
