Nurses Day at the Statehouse

Post licensure students and faculty from the College of Nursing and Health Sciences joined over 400 Registered Nurses at Nurses Day at the Statehouse (NDASH) in Columbus Ohio on February 18, 2015. NDASH is organized by the Ohio Nurses Association and sponsored by many professional nursing organizations and educational programs. On this day, nurses have the opportunity to learn about current health related legislative initiatives and information; listen to the stories of nurse advocates who have successfully implemented change; attend legislative committees and hearings or two or the Ohio Statehouse; learn about effective communication with elected officials; and discuss healthcare issues with legislators in attendance.

Nine students in the RN to BSN Program and one student in the DNP Program attended, along with two faculty members.
