Dr. Deborah Sullivan Hired as Director of Campus Wellness

Dr. Deborah Sullivan has been hired as Director of Campus Wellness on the AU campus and will provide overall leadership for the preparation, collaboration, advocacy and administration of the University’s wellness programs for students, faculty and staff.

This strategic hire will report to the Vice President of Student Affairs, and work to create a comprehensive health and wellness strategy for students, faculty and staff. The Director will coordinate facets of campus wellness to maintain a healthy, safe and supportive campus environment. The Director also contributes to the University’s on-going efforts to make community connections by networking and creating programming that includes the greater Ashland area to promote community health.

“Because our strategic plan emphasizes the importance of wellness, the University needed a strategy-level administrator to ensure we are delivering on our commitment to health and wellness,” said AU President Dr. Carlos Campo. “Dr. Sullivan brings a wealth of expertise and personal experience, and will also collaborate with our internal resources from our Schar College of Nursing and Health Sciences and many other health and wellness professionals who currently serve at Ashland University to create a measurable plan for continuous improvement in the areas of health and wellness.”
