Nursing Alumni Association Banquet

On October 19, 2013 the College of Nursing Alumni Association held their annual banquet at the Roadhouse Restaurant in Ontario.  Alumni representing Mansfield General Hospital School of Nursing, MedCentral College of Nursing and Ashland University College of Nursing were in attendance.

The program began with Ashland University College of Nursing Dean, Faye Grund, giving an update on the development of new programs and recent activities at the college.  Then, the 50 year (1963) and 25 year (1988) graduating classes of Mansfield General Hospital School of Nursing were honored.  The highlight of the evening was the presentation of three $1,000 nursing scholarships.  Scholarships were awarded to Karen Clifton (junior), Brittany Conn (senior), and Steven Chittenden (junior).  The main goal of the Alumni Association is to raise funds for student scholarships and other activities supporting the mission of the College of Nursing.
